Turnover Rate

The number of vehicles using a given space or facility each day, often expressed as a ratio of the total number of vehicles using the facility in a given period to the total number of parking spaces in the facility.

Turnover is how many different cars a single space serves in a day. A commuter space fills once and sits; a retail or restaurant space can cycle many times, serving far more customers, and far more revenue, from the same stripe of asphalt. Illustrative.
