An accessible EV charging space is a charging space meeting four tests together: accessible space-and-aisle dimensions, connector reach over an accessible route, clear floor space at the charger, and an operable interface. In a parking facility:
- The Access Board applies accessible-charger counts per EV station.
- An accessible stall beside an unreachable charger is a photograph, not compliance.
Considerations
- Charger mounting height, screen height, and payment controls are part of the requirement. Accessibility at the charger is a chain; it fails at the weakest link.
