Pay-per-click (PPC) is an online advertising model in which an advertiser pays each time someone clicks its ad. The most common form is search advertising, where advertisers bid on keywords and their ads appear alongside search results.
In parking, searches such as “parking near” a stadium, airport or hospital are high-intent: the searcher needs a space soon. Operators, venues and reservation platforms bid on those terms to capture bookings. See SEO and SERP.
Using PPC in parking
- Bid on event, venue and destination keywords, and send clicks to a page where the driver can book or see rates immediately.
- Measure cost per booking, not cost per click, and compare it with the commission an aggregator would take for the same booking.
- Watch for competitors and aggregators bidding on the facility’s own name.
- Pair paid ads with organic search content, which keeps working after the budget stops.
The Parkonomics view
PPC rents attention by the click. For a facility that can sell its own spaces directly, it can be cheaper than an aggregator’s commission; for one that cannot convert the click into a booking, it is money spent advertising someone else’s checkout.
